entropy, part 2.

Last week I presented the definition of entropy, and related it to the current state in our country, and now across the globe.  This week, I’m still on that idea – the idea that nature trends toward disorder and chaos.

But that’s not a bad thing.

Someone asked me recently why it took the death of George Floyd for me to become impassioned about racism and the desperate need for societal change.  To be honest, I will sadly admit that I do not know.

But I’m here now.

I am listening, I am learning, I am acting.

I’ve experienced a wide range of emotions and reactions in this process so far: sadness, anger, frustration, disbelief, questioning, confusion, passion, and the urge to fight.

I believe we can change.

So back to entropy: my Facebook and Instagram feeds have been overwhelming at times.  There are SO many great resources that have come to the forefront of our social media worlds that it really does feel chaotic and disorderly … and again, overwhelming.

I’m sharing with you some of the resources that have been shared with me (some, admittedly, that I haven’t yet read), and my hope is that you will find this list as a starting line of this marathon journey toward deconstructing, unpacking, and dismantling racism and white supremacy in our world today.

Please join me as we listen, learn and act.
